The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) welcomes you to the second virtual public information meeting for the Richmond Highway (Route 1) Speed Limit Study. Find out about a study assessing the 45 mph speed limit on about eight miles of Richmond Highway (Route 1) between Belvoir Road/Meade Road
and I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) to improve safety for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, drivers, and transit users. Study recommendations will be presented at the meeting. There will be a Q&A and opportunity to provide comments both during and after the meeting, up until August 1, 2022.
