Alexandria Restaurant Week kicks off at area eateries

Three restaurants around the Richmond Highway corridor are participating in the annual dining showcase.

Three restaurants around the Richmond Highway corridor are participating in Alexandria Restaurant Week 2022, which runs from Aug. 19-28. Coincidentally, each of the three restaurants falls into one of the three new pricing categories that Visit Alexandria has  established for this year’s dining showcase.

  • $25 Dinner for One: Dishes of India, 1510 Belle View Blvd. Dinner features Aaam Murg Masala with naan, basmati rice and mix pickles. Reservations: 703-660-6085. Closed Wednesdays.
  • $35 Dinner for One: Mount Vernon Inn, 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway. Dinner features a starter (choice of sweet potato hush puppies, jerk chicken flatbread, house salad or fried shrimp); an entree (choice of pistachio crusted pork tenderloin, seared strip steak or parmesan crusted bronzini); and a dessert (choice of NY style cheesecake or flourless chocolate cake).   • $45 Dinner for One: Cedar Knoll, 9030 Lucia Lane. Dinner features an hors d’oeuvre (choice of watermelon gazpacho, fried oysters or tomato tart); an entree (choice of smoked and braised pork, cornmeal dusted Carolina trout or Masala chic peas and rice); and a dessert (s’more chocolate souffle cake with toasted meringue, graham crumble; a trifle; or any other dessert on the menu for an additional $8).
