A new pho restaurant opened last month at the same Hybla Valley location that another pho eatery vacated last year.
Lotus Pho & Grill, located next to Pupusas Express at 7770 Richmond Highway, offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine and specializes in rice noodles, according to owner Hung Nguyen. While Lotus’ menu is smaller than that of its predecessor, Pho 777, it features a variety of appetizers, pho, vermicelli and rice dishes, sandwiches, smoothies and other beverages.
Nguyen, who’s also a part owner of Lotus’ original storefront in Lorton, said the restaurant’s success on Ox Road led him to expand to Richmond Highway. The kitchen at the vacant Pho 777 was already familiar to him as he helped build it. Nguyen said it was still in good shape, so he left it and the dining room largely intact. The restaurant also has limited outdoor seating.
Kitchen workers and a cashier are needed for the Richmond Highway location; those who are interested can apply via the website.
Lotus Pho & Grill is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
